Throughout the past 20-something years, there have been so many superhero projects that started getting developed before ending up in development limbo and of them was “Superman Lives” – the project that had a script written by Kevin Smith before Nicholas Cage, who would have starred as the Man of Steel and would have been directed by Tim Burton, who had Smith’s script re-written, both came on board. There has been so many questions throughout the years like “A giant spider?”, “How?”, “Why?” but most importantly, “What happened?”
Filmmaker Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse, Grimm Fairy Tales) is now directing a documentary called, The Death of “Superman Lives”, What Happened?, which will explore what happened to that Superman project and ATA’s Andy Behbakht got to talk with the director about his documentary at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. We would like to thank Mr. Schnepp for taking time to talk to us and if you are interested in following his project: check out the Kickstarter page, the project’s Facebook page as well as follow him on Twitter @JonSchnepp.
