Hello fellow Gothamites, Nolanites, and Bat-Fans and welcome back to Across the Airwaves! This is of course the Road to TDKR Podcast Series of commentaries on the Bat-Films leading up to The Dark Knight Rises. HOWEVER, this time on Road to TDKR, your favorite host Dan Schmidt & I will be commentating on one of the most important films in movie, super hero, and comic book history. That film, of course, is The Dark Knight. As the longest and final film in this series of commentaries, Dan & I make a very special effort to not just enjoy the movie, but really dissect the most important elements of it. The Joker. The rise and fall of Harvey “Two-Face” Dent. The effect Rachel’s death had on the characters. The importance of the Batman. Our theory on Heath Ledger’s death and that his portrayal of the Joker may have driven him to madness. And our theories on how the events of this film will carry on over into The Dark Knight Rises. We dedicate this commentary to Heath Ledger, Conway Wickliffe, Jerry Robinson, and Christopher Nolan himself.
Thank you all for joining us, not just for Road to The Dark Knight Rises, but also for Road to The Avengers as well. Look for our podcast episode covering The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Dark Knight Rises coming this August to Across the Airwaves!
